Our Mission

THE PRINCIPAL AIM of the Club is to promote and extend the wearing of Fully Fashioned Nylon Stockings!   

Indeed, the Club takes its name from arguably the ultimate in British Hosiery,the Aristoc Harmony Point, shown on the left..

We are, though, not naive enough to think that we will alter the Nation's fashion ideas. However, getting enthusiasts of these and other brands and styles together is an objective which we feel is within our reach, via our Newsletter, mail and selective meetings. And, now, through this new Website, we hope to reach a wider audience, and Membership around the World should be as easy as clicking a few buttons!

What makes Fully Fashioned Nylon Stockings so special?  

Fully-Fashioned refers to the way the stocking is created from silky, non-stretch gossamer nylon; shaped to fit the leg, then seamed up the back.

The seam is essential in holding the stocking together. The reinforced heel, finishing loop, welt and stitching detail above ankle and at the thigh are all part of the creation: not something simply added for decorative effect.

The result truly is a masterpiece, unmistakable in like and feel, and a delight to wear.

The late Duchess of Windsor (Mrs. Wallace Simpson) was reputed to have said,

"A lady should either be a work of art or wear one"

Those ladies who wear Fully-Fashioned stockings may, in the process of wearing two works of art, become another!

Look at the image below, a piece of lifeless manmade fibre can, within a few seconds, having been carefully rolled up a lady's leg and, the seam having been straightened carefully (perhaps by a dedicated admirer....) and then attached to a taut suspender become....
